College Admission Tests*
You DO NOT have to take both the SAT and the ACT, but you can. FREE with a FEE WAIVER.

SAT
Tests your knowledge of reading, writing, and math.
SAT Subject Tests are hour long content tests to showcase achievement in specific subject areas where you excel.
- Required to apply to 4-year colleges (not community colleges)
- UC’s require the SAT and recommend SAT Subject Tests for certain programs (check with your school to verify what is needed for admission)
- CSU’s only require the SAT if GPA is below 3.0
- Take during your Junior and Senior year of high school
- Register at collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/register
- Free with a FEE WAIVER – ask your high school counselor
- Submit scores at collegeboard.org
- May send unlimited free score reports if eligible for the fee waiver
