(EOP) Educational Opportunity Program
Fresno State has been offering a quality education with many advanced degrees to a diverse population of more than 20,000 undergraduate and graduate students for 100 years. One of many programs that serve the diverse student population is the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) at Fresno State. EOP was established 45 years ago and was designed to provide access and support services to first-generation and economically disadvantaged students who demonstrate the potential to succeed at the university.
Renaissance Scholars Program at Fresno State
Renaissance Scholars Program launched fall 2008 with an inaugural class of 30 students. RSP is a comprehensive support program under the auspice of EOP. The purpose of RSP is to serve students who have experience foster care or unaccompanied youth pursuing their undergraduate degrees at Fresno State. RSP creates a strong network of support by partnering with various campus departments and community agencies to provide a wide range of services to help meet students’ academic, personal, and financial needs.
The purpose of the program is to provide these students with resources, support, and a nurturing educational environment that fosters growth and the ability to obtain a college degree.
